What is looking.for.logos?

Looking.For.Logos is about an expectant posture of the heart earnestly seeking to know God on a whole new level, because we recognize that our lives are only truly transformed in and by Him.

"Logos" is the Greek root for the word, "logic", a manner of thinking. In the Bible, it is used to describe a "Word" that is unique in that it contains within it the "logic" of God. It's is a concept that reaches past the written and spoken word and describes a divine communication with mankind in the person of Jesus Christ. It transcends the immediate and eludes to a spiritual understanding beyond what we simply see and hear. Logos can only be communicated as "revelation".

In practical, every day terms,

"Looking for Logos" is about seeking after God with our whole hearts, learning about who He truly is, and finding relationship
It's about getting to know the heartbeat of the Father - finding out how He feels about us as His special creation, and who we are in Him.
It's about understanding the full impact of the lengths to which God went to bring us back to Him.
And about how radically this Truth can change our lives.

We can drown in an overflow of words on paper and words in the air, but a legitimate encounter with Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh, will begin to transform us from the inside out. Knowledge doesn't change us - revelation changes us.

It is human nature to wander. We have to pursue God intentionally and passionately, and as we do, we will never be disappointed in His response to us.  Life will never be easy, but it can be great with the Greater One living on the inside of us.

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith..." Hebrews 10:22

"Come near to God and he will come near to you..." James 4:8 (emphasis mine)

"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me -
a prayer to the God of my life."
Psalm 42:7-8
